Privacy Policy

Styr Pte Ltd ("Styr", "we", "us") operates the Styr mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data in compliance with the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).
1. Data We Collect
- Account data: Name, email, phone number
- Location data: Pickup and destination coordinates (during booking and trip only)
- Payment data: Processed by Stripe. We do not store card numbers.
- Vehicle data: Plate number, make, model, colour (for driver matching)
- Trip data: Route, timestamps, driver assignment, GPS tracking
- Emergency contact: Name and phone number (optional, for SOS alerts)
2. How We Use Your Data
- Matching you with a driver and facilitating the trip
- Processing payments via Stripe
- Safety features: SOS alerts, emergency contact notification, trip sharing
- Customer support
- Improving the service (anonymised analytics)
3. Third Parties
- Stripe: Payment processing
- Google Maps: Navigation and geocoding
- Sentry: Error monitoring (no personal data sent)
- Supabase: Database hosting (Singapore region)
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
4. Data Retention
Trip data is retained for 90 days, then automatically purged. Account data is retained until you request deletion. Payment records are retained as required by Singapore financial regulations.
5. Your Rights
Under the PDPA, you have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and data
- Withdraw consent for data collection

6. Security
We use encryption in transit (TLS), row-level security on all database tables, and secure authentication via Supabase Auth. Payment data is handled entirely by Stripe and never touches our servers.
7. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be notified via the app.
