Terms of Service

1. About Styr

Styr Pte Ltd ("Styr") operates a technology platform that connects users ("Members") with independent licensed drivers ("Drivers"). Styr does not provide transportation services, does not employ drivers, and does not own or operate vehicles. Drivers are independent contractors.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and have a valid payment method to use Styr as a Member. Drivers must hold a valid Singapore driving licence and pass our verification process.

3. The Service

Members book a Driver to drive the Member's own vehicle from a pickup location to a destination. The Driver comes to the Member's location, drives the Member's car with the Member as passenger, and delivers the car to the destination.

4. Pricing

• Prices are shown upfront before booking and vary by distance, time of day, and demand.
• A pre-authorisation hold of up to 20% above the displayed fare is placed on your card to cover potential waiting time charges. Unused hold is released after the trip.
• Waiting time is charged in 15-minute blocks if the driver waits beyond a 5-minute grace period.
• Platform fee (15–20%) is deducted from the driver's payout.

5. Payment

Payments are processed by Stripe. We accept credit/debit cards and Apple Pay. You authorise Styr to charge your payment method for the trip fare plus any applicable waiting time charges.

6. Cancellation

• You may cancel a booking at any time before the driver arrives at no charge.
• Cancellation after the driver has arrived may incur a cancellation fee.
• Drivers may cancel if the Member is a no-show after 15 minutes.

7. Member Responsibilities

• Provide accurate pickup location and destination
• Ensure your vehicle is roadworthy and legally registered
• Treat drivers with respect
• Maintain a valid payment method

8. Driver Responsibilities

• Hold a valid Singapore driving licence
• Drive safely and comply with all traffic laws
• Act professionally at all times
• Report any incidents or vehicle damage during the trip

9. Safety

The SOS button calls 999 (Singapore emergency services). It is not a Styr support line. Styr logs all SOS events and may notify your emergency contact if one is set.

10. Limitation of Liability

Styr is a technology platform, not a transportation provider. To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• Styr is not liable for any vehicle damage, accidents, or injuries during a trip.
• Styr is not liable for driver conduct beyond the platform.
• Drivers operate under the Member's vehicle insurance.

11. Intellectual Property

All rights in the Styr platform, branding, and content belong to Styr Pte Ltd.

12. Termination

Styr may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms, fraud, unsafe behaviour, or abuse of the platform.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts.

14. Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
